Who we listen to

If a crow and a nightingale sang the same song, which would you listen to?” If the thoughts behind the words are the same, the beauty of the voice is of secondary importance.

So perhaps it is wise to reframe the statement: if we heard a crow and a nightingale singing, which would we listen to? It is a discipline we must learn, for God is often the crow, and satan (devil, sin, dark side (I hear they have cookies),temptation) is often the nightingale.
